The special technique called Hiki-baku which is one of the finest in Nishijin-obi-haku is used for the very valuable cow hide leather born in Japan. Multiple layers of foils and paints create a layer of light, and the depth of the texture is beautiful and delicate. The beautiful dyeing technique cultivated in kimono was processed on dyeing leather, and combining the finest cow hide leather with Japanese ancient tradition techniques created leather never before.
