Eco-Leather fills six conditions of Japan Eco-leather standards(JES)", is recognized to have little impact on the environment by considering to reducing the environmental load in the life cycle of "production, transportation, sales, re-use".
FUJITAKA have developed special leather that cleared all of these strict standards and was certified as "EXTRA", which is the strictest application classification. It is environmentally friendly, "safe and secure" leather even if a baby touches and is also used in medical and nursing care condition.
Six conditions of Japan Eco-leather Standards (JES)
① Natural leather
② Non use of carcinogenic dyes
③ Inspecting harmful chemical substances (formaldehyde, heavy metals, PCP, prohibited azo dyes)
④ Less than the standard value in an odor
⑤ Leather made in a well-managed factory (where drainage and waste are properly managed)
⑥ More than the standard value in color fastness against dyeing and friction(hard to discolor)
