This is a top-of-the-line MEIKO series that uses Weinheim's calf leather" Waprolux", which is packed with the know-how of Karl Freudenburg, a prestigious German tanner used by the world's top brands, as the main body material.
While the fibers are dense and soft to the touch, it has a unique chewy texture, is scratch resistant, and has good color development. The interior is also luxuriously made of pigskin leather, and it is the highest line that craftsmen have finished with extreme precision. Technology also shines, such as adopting a shape memory spring to keep the shape of the beautifully finished edge part, the handle and the opening of the back pocket.

The 553 model also has a brass lock with a dial from Amiet, a global lock maker in Switzerland, which gives it a luxurious feel.
