Bridle leather

We use bridle leather tanned by the long-established tanner “THOMAS WARE & SONS LTD.” Founded in 1890 in Bristol, England. The surface of the cowhide is wax painted by hand over and over again to create not only hardness but also flexibility. “THOMAS WARE & SONS LTD.” is one of the world’s largest vegetable tanning tanners, and is particular about handing only carefully selected materials from the purchase, and has an established reputation for its leather finish. Bridle leather is tanned with natural plant extracts about 6 weeks and soaked in beeswax for about 3 months. It is a masterpiece of British tradition, and its greatest feature is that it becomes more and more lustrous over the years, with a sense of elegance and luxury.

The surface is characterized by a white powder called bloom, which is exuded from wax. It is proof that it is a bridle leather that has undergone a long production process. As you use it, it naturally blends in and changes to a beautiful luster.

* Immediately after purchase, it may feel like it has been painted with a whitish or transparent brush, but this is due to the beeswax ingredient above.
