Garnet Cordovan Horseshoe Shaped Coin Purse
¥30,800
No.661611
FUJITAKA Accessories' horseshoe-shaped coin Coin Purse from cordovan material from Shinki Leather in Himeji, a company known as the horse leather professional. By carefully aging it, it develops a unique deep luster that is not found in other leathers.
The cordovan is said to be tough leather. It has an image of a racehorse, but in reality it is a valuable one that can only be made from farm horses. Since the number of horses that gain the raw hide is decreasing, mass production is difficult and the rarity value is increasing day by day.
The grain layer cut from the cordovan of the leather is only 1.2 to 2 mm thick. It looks like suede and is actually rough. After that, the fibers are laid down by craftsmen to create a matte look. Although the core is strong, the surface is very delicate. Even a small amount of moisture such as light rain or hand sweat will swell the fibers and cause blisters, so please handle with care.
Inside, the world-famous Italian tanner Badalassi Carlo company's "Minerva Box" is used. It is carefully made using the traditional vachetta manufacturing method with a long history, and is characterized by its expressive natural shrink and the beautiful way the color and luster rises when used.
