BRUSH Leather Traveling Bag
¥275,000
No.642311
Gold and silver foil are weaved into threads by the Nishijin obi foil craftsman. The woven fabric's pattern is enhanced using patterned foil, which is not a stand-alone expression of a design using the “hikihaku” (pulled foil) technique. Nishijin obi foil craftsmen use brushes to layer various colors to create patterns. Each FUJITAKA traveling bag is made with leather that has been dyed by hand with precision. Through the layering of colors, the pattern is created through a time-consuming and painstaking process that creates a unique brilliance and depth. Each traveling bag is unique and cannot be duplicated.

Description of item

Nishijin obi foil craftsmen
weave foil into threads
Used in this “hikihaku” (pulled foil) technique, patterned foil is not a standalone expression of a design but rather serves to enhance the pattern of the woven fabric. Nishijin obi foil craftsmen use brushes to layer various colors to create patterns, and each bag is meticulously dyed by hand.
