It is carefully tanned in Japan tanner over a long period of 60 days and dried for about 2 weeks to allow the chemicals to mature. Lightly oiled and softly tanned, the undercoat is dyed on a drum, blended from hundreds of caseins, and then buffed by hand to finish the surface. The unevenness of the crocodile becomes more lustrous as it ages, making it a top-class product with a deep and tasteful color.
